Instructions for sending blood samples
Information for Veterinarians:
Please collect around 5 ml of blood in a purple topped EDTA-tube
Label the tube with the following information: Dogs register name, registration number, breed and date
Invert the tube (8-10) times to prevent clotting
Ship to the address at the bottom of this page. Please let us know to expect your sample by email in advance (ranja.eklund@helsinki.fi)
The blood has to arrive in Finland within two to three days!
However, schedule the shipment so that it will NOT arrive during a weekend or holiday period
All information regarding the dogs or owners names will be kept confidential. Results will be released only by the owners consent. See also FAQ.
