On the following weekend, 8.-9.12.2007, the international dog show "Winner 2007" will take place in Helsinki Fai Centre. A remarkable amount of 8537 dogs have been entered to this biggest dog show in Finland.
The research team of Prof. Dr. Hannes Lohi will have an information stand during the exhibition weekend. Information about the canine genetic research studies will be given and questions can be answered.
In single cases for dalmatians from abraod, that participate in the Winner Show, blood can be taken outside the show area by a private person and free of charge. Please contact the EPIDAL team in beforehand if you wish to donate your healthy dogs blood. Remember that due to the anti-doping rules of the Finnish Kennelclub dogs with epilepsy that recieve medication(s) as Phenobarbital, Potassiumbromid atc. are not allow to participate in dog shows in Finland.
For finnish dalmatians a blood sampling free of charge will be arranged by the EPIDAl team on the following weekend, sunday 16.12.2007 (Espoo) 12.-15.00 h.
